Over 150 gaming and esports developers from across the UAE connected on Yas Island for the first regional Unity Developer Day, in partnership with AD Gaming and Unity Technologies.
The Unity Developer Day is the region’s first event dedicated to game developers and real time content creators led by the team of experts at Unity. The world of RT3D (real-time 3D) is growing at a fast pace and the Unity Developer Day, helps to showcase Unity’s latest features and updates to developers and creators.
The event, held at the Hilton Yas Island, helped to bring the region’s industry together, exchange knowledge, stories, skills and updates. The day’s program included sessions on game design, the latest updates on Unity features and gaming services, Editor tooling, render pipelines and a panel discussion on the metaverse with regional creators and ADGaming partners Karim Ibrahim and Stefano Bianchi.
The event will be the first of many for the ADGaming community. Unity will be opening the Unity Center of Excellence inside the ADGaming Hub at the Yas Creative Hub later this year. The hub will provide the game development industry with unparalleled on-the-ground support for students, professionals and small businesses throughout the Middle East and Africa.
