It’s game-on this summer as the eagerly anticipated Yas Gaming Month makes its way to Yas Mall in the UAE capital this July, promising a ‘GG’ experience for hardcore gamers, enthusiasts and novices alike. As the regional hub for the gaming industry, Yas Island witnesses the return of Yas Gaming Festival for its third year. Throughout the month, fans can expect a ‘leveled-up’ experience filled with immersive video games and competitive quests.

After successful 2018 and 2019 editions that saw double the visitors in one year, this year’s Yas Gaming Festival will offer a combination of unique and fun gaming stations, hands-on plays, tournaments, and Esports, ensuring there is something for everybody.

Kicking off with an 11-day free-to-attend festival from 7 to 17 July, Yas Mall’s Sports Boulevard will be transformed into a true gamers’ paradise housing multiple specially curated stations, catering to all experience levels. Guests of all ages can ‘camp’ daily between 10 am and 10 pm and revel in a virtual world of thrilling tournaments, putting their skills to the ultimate test. Participants will be able to give back through Gaming4Good, a CSR initiative where they can donate or purchase pre-owned games and consoles, with all proceeds going to the Emirates Autism Center.

To culminate Yas Gaming Month, the World Finals of the renowned V10 R League is set to kick off its grand finale of the sim racing series, to crown this season’s champion. The semi-finals, bronze medal match, and final game of the unique racing league will be played on 22 and 23 July 2022, with a prize pool topping £ 100,000. Now in its third season, the league will feature some of the biggest names in Sim racing, including Mercedes AMG Esports, Red Bull Racing Esports, Aston Martin Esports, and Yas’s very own YAS HEAT. As a unique leisure and entertainment hub, Yas Island continues to diversify its growing yearly calendar to include exciting events such as the Yas Gaming Month, to cater to the ever-evolving interests of both UAE visitors and residents. Through hosting a range of global gaming events, Abu Dhabi has firmly established its place on the Esports stage.

Yas Gaming Month is being held in partnership with AD Gaming, a collaborative initiative that aggregates the broad efforts throughout Abu Dhabi to drive and build a self-sustaining gaming and Esports ecosystem.
